Comment: I was a member of the Connecticut chapter from 1989 till its demise in late 1991. Many of my former brothers went on to become Angels a club that we were affiliated with.The rest of us just moved on. In the short time we were around we lost 3 brothers,had many great parties and hosted a bunch of Boozefighters from Germany for a 10 day stay. We started using the original patch artwork but in early 1990 we modified it and used the new patch up till the end.We also had the pleasure of talking to Wino Willie a few times on the phone as well as a few members got to meet him in person. Comment: I write to you some 21 years after the accident on emigrant trail. I was there 3 minutes after the truck rolled over onto the motorcycles, I was just a kid then, I remember the whole thing like it was just last week.. I still cry to this day when I think about the smoke, the smell, the sound of people sobbing. at my age then all I could do was offer water to those who weren't hurt, there was one man (clap I think) laying on the other side of the road burned but alive, we held blankets up to shade him from the sun, it was a horrible horrible day.. the one thing that I remember most was just before that, at the bottom of the hill all the bikes were at the li'l store, there was an old man afraid to pull out of the driveway and some of the bikers were joking around about just going over him. to those who ride please do be careful and remember that there are people out there who aren't. may you all ride safe and have a great time.

Comment: Found this on the internet and though you guys would find it interesting if you didnt already have it somewhere locked away! BoozeFighters By-Laws of 1946 1. To become a Boozefighter a man must attend 4 meetings consecutively and be voted on by secret ballot by all members present and must not be opposed by 3 or more members. 2. Club is closed at 20 members. 3. Initiation fee is $2.00. Dues are 50 cents a week. When a member is voted in, he must pay the sum of $2.50. 4. If a member misses 3 meetings consecutively without a substantial explanation, he will be voted upon again. 5. Any member who is absent without a reasonable excuse from the club activities will automatically be dropped from the club. 6. If a member misses a meeting without a reasonable excuse he will be fined $1.00. 7. Officers will be elected every 3 months, if they are still living. 8. There will be a fine of $1.00 for any member not wearing his sweater to meetings, club activities, races, etc., without a reasonable excuse. 9. Any member leaving or being voted out of the club will either remove the lettering from his sweater, or sell it back to the club. 10. It is strictly against all club rules for any 1 member to bring more than 1 case of liquor or 1 keg of beer or wine to a meeting. 11. There will never be any women in any way affiliated in any way shape or form with the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club or its subsidiaries. 12. If any member of the Boozefighters, or its subsidiaries, is found guilty of crapping out on his back, having the club name where it can’t be seen, or not having his sweater on when being crapped out, he will be fined $1.00. 13. No member will be completely without a motor for more than 6 months. If he is, he will automatically dropped from the club. The Boozefighter By-Laws of 1946
